Beth Rutter is a compassionate and skilled podiatrist who brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Birtley Foot Clinic team. A 2019 graduate from the University of Northampton, Beth began her career in the NHS, where she gained invaluable experience treating a variety of foot health concerns. During the pandemic, she was redeployed to work alongside District Nurses in tissue viability, which broadened her expertise and strengthened her clinical skills.

Growing up as a Type 1 Diabetic, Beth developed a deep appreciation for the importance of lower limb health. Motivated by her own experiences and the need for greater education and prevention in diabetes care, Beth chose podiatry as her way to make a difference in people’s lives. She is committed to guiding her patients in managing their foot health and reducing the risks associated with diabetes and other conditions.

At Birtley Foot Clinic, Beth’s focus is on addressing primary foot concerns, alleviating acute pain, and developing tailored treatment plans to prevent recurrence. Whether it’s managing a painful ingrown toenail, treating a bothersome corn, or tackling a challenging wound, Beth is driven by her “what can we achieve today” approach, ensuring her patients feel immediate relief while working toward long-term solutions.

Beth’s passion lies in wound care, nail surgery, and other complex treatments, where her meticulous nature and love for challenges shine. She takes pride in seeing the tangible improvements her interventions bring and is endlessly fascinated by the cellular-level mechanisms of healing. Dedicated to professional growth, Beth stays updated on the latest diabetes research, treatments, and podiatric advancements to continually improve her practice.

Outside the clinic, Beth has a deep love for the sea, a connection rooted in her years living in South Devon. She enjoys paddleboarding, beach walks, and bonfires, often finding that a breath of salty air helps her reset and tackle challenges with fresh eyes. While Birtley High Street may not rival the Devon coast, Beth brings that same clarity and perspective to her work, ensuring she delivers the best possible care for her patients.

Beth values the supportive and fun environment at Birtley Foot Clinic, where collaboration and camaraderie among the team create a positive experience for both staff and patients. Grateful for the behind-the-scenes efforts of the clinic’s dedicated admin team, Beth thrives in a workplace where shared goals and mutual respect drive exceptional patient care.
